Wendell V. Courtney

Wendell Courtney’s breadth and depth in the employment and labor law arena is diverse in both the types of clients he assists and in the matters he handles.

Representing a wide-range of clients throughout his career, from small businesses to large employers with thousands of employees, and current and former employees needing seasoned legal counsel to help them understand their legal rights and options, Wendell is equipped with an experience based understanding of the far-reaching impact that legal matters have on the lives of those involved, and he offers comprehensive counseling in the entire spectrum of employment and labor law issues to help his clients pursue and achieve their personal and business goals, including wage and hour labor compliance, Department of Labor investigations, employment discrimination (Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission and Equal Employment Opportunity Commission), discipline and discharge matters, employee policies and handbooks, employment contracts and restrictive covenants, severance agreements, and unemployment compensation.

Adept at formulating creative solutions for complex problems that may arise in the lives of his clients, Wendell believes strongly that a legal problem prevented is a legal problem solved, and in this vein, he offers his clients counselling on preventive law matters, such as pre-litigation strategies, training and proactive policy changes.

Mr. Courtney is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, and he is a member of the Cumberland County and Dauphin County Bar Associations.

Mr. Courtney has served as a Volunteer for the Special Olympics, and he is Pro Bono legal counsel for United for Animals, a tax exempt charitable organization that raises funds for animal rescue organizations throughout Pennsylvania.
