(Johnson Duffie) has deep roots in the local community when the law firm was established in 1914 in Lemoyne, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. Paralegal

We are seeking a Paralegal to join our firm to assist attorneys in various practice areas. To be successful in this position, candidates must have experience working at a law firm, be a self-starter, possess strong communication skills, have exceptional attention to detail and be comfortable using technology.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in various practice areas including review and preparation of documents, petitions, related court filings and correspondence
  • Prepare estate planning and administration documents, client correspondence and pleadings
  • Maintain communication with clients and provide information as necessary
  • Effectively work with attorneys and support staff

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is required, Paralegal certificate is a plus
  • 2 or more years experience working as a paralegal in a law office
  • Interest and flexibility to work in various practice areas
  • Strong written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Team player with the ability to work well with others
  • Excellent typing, spelling and grammatical skills with high degree of attention to detail

Legal Assistant

We are seeking Legal Assistants to join our firm to assist attorneys in various practice areas. These positions provide overall clerical and administrative and office support to attorneys and paralegals. Successful candidates will need to be well organized, reliable and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assist attorneys in preparation of documents, including legal briefs, court subpoenas, spreadsheets and other office-related letters
  • Maintain all legal files kept on-site along with electronic-filing databases
  • Produce information by transcribing, formatting, inputting, editing, retrieving, copying, and transmitting text, data, and graphics; coordinating case preparation
  • Organize client conferences, and attorney meetings
  • Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements
  • Welcome guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries
  • Effectively work with attorneys and support staff

Administrative – Business Office

We are seeking someone to join our administration/business office team. The role will work with the existing administrative team to better meet the needs and demands of an ever-growing law practice. The role will span a variety of functional areas including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, marketing, call operations and finance.

Ideal candidates will have administrative experience working in a professional office setting; possess strong communication skills; have exceptional attention to detail; and be comfortable using technology. Successful candidates will need to be well organized, reliable and have strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as back up for general accounting tasks (A/R, A/P, HR data entry and financial reporting)
  • Assist in production and execution of marketing plan
  • Plan small, internal and external events for employees and clients
  • Monitor and organize communication (phone and written)
  • Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements
  • Welcome guests and clients by greeting them in person or on the telephone; answering or directing inquiries
  • Assist administrator, attorneys and staff in various projects and office related tasks
